♥ Serving Size: 0.6 ounces per 1 pound of healthy dog weight

♥ 1/3 serving size protein (any cooked meat or eggs)

♥ 1/3 serving size carbs (cooked potatoes, pasta, grain, or even bread)

♥ 1/3 serving size veggies (cooked broccoli, carrots green peppers, or anything else doggy friendly)

♥ 1/12 teaspoon vegetable oil (corn and flax are best) for each ounce of food

Hey, everydoggy! I know today is Wordless Wednesday, but I thought it would be unfair to just post a picture after such a long time with no posts. So, here's what I did today! The pictures are extra nice now! Chanelle is taking Digital Media 12, and she knows how to use a dSLR now!

I went for walkies with Chanelle and her friend Kathleen! It was Kathleen's birthday, so we walked up to the pizza place near our houses.

Kathleen took a long time getting the pizza.

A LONG TIME.

While we were waiting for the pizza, we went to Pet Planet! We saw these AMAZING dog bowls!

I think I'd look smashing eating out of a blue bowl, but they're a little bit expensive! Chanelle isn't exactly sure she wants to spend that much money on dog bowls. Phooey! While we were there, we also saw some really yummy smelling dried meat patties! I kept trying to steal them, but Chanelle kept catching me! Boo!

It was a fun day! Hopefully, tomorrow I'll have an even better day!

Happy New Year, every-doggy!! I have wonderful news! Channi has promised me that no matter how busy she gets, she will help me post at least once a week. I'm so excited! Channi says, this year we will have lots to blog about. She will be exercising me more so that I am slim again. She will be training me more so I can do more tricks. And she will be taking me more places so I can explore! Yay!

You might have noticed the blog has a new look. Channi decided she was going to give it a surprise make-over to make up for half a year of absence. I think it's looks great! The banner above is a tracing of the last banner photo, done all by hand with her new Wacom tablet and GIMP. And it's in our favorite colour! Also, Channi added some new pages to the blog. Click around and check them out!

Hiatus. AGAIN!!!

I'm sorry to say I won't be blogging or checking up on other blogs for a bit. Channy is very busy. Plus, she's gone and lost her camera! How am I supposed to stick myself on my blog without that?! I don't fit in the scanner!
Oh well. Have a lovely time in the Dog Days of Summer, everyone!

Channy had time!

Yippee!

Channy had time for me today! She carefully counted out 30 treats (my training reward ration for each day). Then she trained with me!

We worked on "Look-it-me", "Don't Touch", "Take it", "Stay", and "Come". Come is my favorite. I always run towards her full blast, even if she doesn't have treats. But she's a little bit of a perfectionist and wants to make sure I always finished the "come" by doing a "sit" right in front of her. I have a nervous scooting habit (NOT BUM SCOOTING! just a kind of seated shuffle!) that I do when I see treats, so it's a little tricky.

I already know "sit", "off" (though I growl if I REALLY don't want to get off), "in", "out", "go to bed", and "let's go", but Channy says we still need to proof those ones. Proofing is making sure your dog can perform a command in any situation. Channy says "take it" and "look-it-me" are ready for proofing now too!

Maybe, after each command is proofed, I'll put up a video of me preforming commands. How fun!

This has always been my most favorite way to sleep, UPSIDE DOWN! (That's not really my bed, by the way. It's just my sofa-bed in Channy's room. I sleep in a crate.)

The Mango Minster Experience

Well, MangoMinster has come to a close for this year, and it was a blast. I've met new friends, gone to Key West for the first time, and I won the Good Sport category!

All of this publicity has brought more followers to my blog, and has made me a sort of . . . celebrity! To celebrate, Channy wizzed me home really fast after the Good Sport winners were announced (I say winners because Zack and Frankie count as winners) to give me a brand new look and get me ready for the press!

To my amazement, Vague wanted me on the cover of their magazine!

They also interviewed me!

MD: Cookie! Congratulations on your win!
CM: Thank you, Mary, I appreciate that!
MD: So, I hear you're a shy dog. How was it being smashed in with a group of dogs you don't even know, and then suddenly be thrown into the spotlight?
CM: Oh, I was a little freaked out at first. (laugh) So many other dogs, and, I swear, half of them belonged in the Cracker Insane category . . . (laugh) Wow. Yeah, that was a little bit . . . exhilarating, but I tried my best to take it like a trouper.
MD: Like a true Good Sport!
CM: Heh, yeah. (laugh)
MD: What did you think of that Mr. Wild Dingo?
CM: I'm still . . . not sure . . . what I think. That was just . . . wow. I think Mango was testing us Good Sports there. (laugh)
MD: (laugh) I noticed you were not in sight when the Good Sports were at that collar-optional bar. Were you hiding, or had you already gone in?
CM: Oh, good lord . . . (laugh). No, no, I wasn't going anywhere near that place! I mean, I go collarless at home, of course . . . Papa doesn't like the noise my tags make, but . . . in public?! How racy!
MD: You? Collarless? I was under the impression you were the kind of girl to bathe in your collar.
CM: (laugh) Oh, please . . .
MD: So, what are your thoughts on Juno's after show interview?
CM: I was . . . flabbergasted when I read the interview. I . . . To be recognized like that . . . like this . . . That and winning all together made me want to live like an even better Good Sport. That and, also, seeing Clive in the ring. He's just an inspiration. I'm so glad he won Best In Show. He deserves it. (V)

After Best In Show, Channy encouraged me to hold a press conference. There was something really weird going on with my hair that day. There was just this one really curly bit that wouldn't lay flat . . . I had to tie it back with a blue scrunchie. Hmmm.

Reporter: Cookie! Can you tell us why you didn't have a speech for Best in Show? Was what Mango said really true?
Cookie: Heh, well, no . . . Mango was very clever in covering it up for me, but, in the hustle and bustle, I forgot to write a speech. However, there wouldn't have been any use in that, because Clive was destined to win. I was rooting for him.
Reporter: What are you plans with Sweepy this Valentine's Day?
Cookie: Well, normally, I wouldn't say, but, I honestly don't know, so I don't see any harm in telling you that! (laugh)
Reporter: Are you going to be appearing in any other events?
Cookie: Oh, hopefully. I had so much fun!

This is my costume for my masquerade b-day party. I had a good time and got lots of noms and love!

I didn't like the mask much, so I took it off. Now you can see me beautiful face!

While Channy was doing schoolwork, I snuck a nap in her bed, and I'm not supposed to be up there! Look, I even got my monkey puppet to snuggle with. But she caught me, woke me up, and booted me off. Not without snapping a picture first, of course!

This is my entry for the Dog Pile section of Mango Minster! I know only the stuffies on top of me count, but, since I'm so small, I couldn't fit a lot of things on me, so I decided to go out with a bang! Stuffies everywhere!!!

And this is me holding up my favoritest food (it's even better than yogurt)! LETTUCE! Channy made a sandy-wich nom and put lettuce in it, but she let me have the stalks! TWO STALKS! There was even some leaf left on them! I had a good time nomming them, but I stopped when Channy took out the camera. I wanted to show all of you my favorite food! So I posed nice with my yummy lettuce noms. Mmmm!

In this picture, I'm lovingly helping Channy with her science project by posing with it ON MY HEAD. She got a really good grade for it because her science teacher laughed really hard when he saw the picture! He thought it was hilarious! Ha ha. Even though it was humiliating, I'm glad she got a great grade. :)

Lovely January Day

Aaah, it's January, and it's a new year! Channy and Mommy came back from their Christmas adventure in Montreal and New York, Channy got a camera, the sun is shining, the plants are sprouting, and I've got a nice hoard of snacks and breakfast cereal in my cupboard. Aaah, life is good!

Yesterday, Channy took me for the first walk she's given me for the year! It was great fun! First, she got me all tidy and dressed up. She had to give my face a trim, because I had yogurt crusted all over it, and I looked like I had a beard! But she got me all fixed up rather quickly.

Then Channy clipped my leash on, and we jumped into the elevator and headed off!

On the walk, we saw this scary notification. Yikes! Coyote on the loose! Channy didn't like the poster, and said it was biased against coyotes and tried to make them seem evil, but I thought otherwise. Maybe she'd agree with me if it wanted to eat her!

When we got back home, Channy went back to her schoolwork. She put my pillow on the other side of the room (as seen in the first picture), but I wanted to be closer to her! So I curled up under her desk. That wasn't a very good idea.
Then Channy got some homemade bread and cheese for lunch. She finished all the cheese, but left a piece of bread. I snarfed it when she wasn't looking! bol!
Usually she'd be mad, but she thought it was a little funny, so she snapped a coupled of pictures before she took it away.

She said I looked just like I did when I was a puppy. :)

Christmas is late this year . . .

Well, Channy and Mommy are leaving tomorrow for Montreal, and they're leaving me and Papa behind. :( Channy made me a stocking, but I guess I won't be hung this year. But, she said she'll make it up to me. She said, this year, she is going to buy a digital camera! FINALLY!! She says she'll take tonnes of pictures of me all the time to put on my blog! And, when she comes home, she's going to give me my own Christmas. Sure, it'll be on the wrong day, but, who cares! It'll be so much fun! I can't wait!

Oh, my love! My joy! Barks cannot express my ectasy!

My package from Sweepy was delivered by Sparky and Lizzy today. (By the way, Sparky, you have re-validated my status as a runt. You're HUGE compared to me!) My heart leapt as Channy opened the backage for me (I have no thumbs, of course). Channy found her envelope first. She adores the chain purse! She thought it was a lion, but I told her otherwise. Then she got out the card . . . oh . . . it left me barkless and breathless. How lovely . . . And then the bead necklace with the little . . . what is it, a patron saint medalion? And, the piece de resistance . . . the lovely necklace, paw-picked by my lovely Sweepy . . .

Oh, Sweepy, dear, the necklaces look absolutely lovely on me. Channy will have to ask Papa if she can take a picture of me with the camera later.

Oh, by the way, Sweepy has a gift for you in the package too, Sparky! And for Lizzy too! Maybe you can pick it up next Tuesday?

What else was I about to blog . . . oh, yes. Channy bought me two lovely bouncy balls a few days ago! They're the Chuckit! Rebounce balls, and c'est magnifique! They bounce REALLY high, and you can put little treats in them if you want too! J'adore!

Oh my dog! I haven't posted in ages!

Well, this stops now! I am back on the job!

Speaking of which, I need a gig! I'm so bored! I'm practicing and practicing my ballet to pass the time while Channy can't help me blog, but I have no where to dance! Oh, to be able to take to the stage . . .

Maybe I should hold ballet classes. Would anydoggy like to learn to dance?

But that won't surfise. I MUST return to the stage! Must! Rrruff!

That's it! Forget Short Biscuit (as if anydoggy still remembers I was going to direct that)! I'm putting on a ballet! Any ballet dancers out there willing to do "Swan Lake" or "The Nutcracker"? Oh, it would be so much fun!

Or maybe . . . maybe someone can start up a "So You Can Dance: DWB Edition". OH, THAT WOULD BE SOOOO FUN! Aah, I can't wait! Someone, PLEASE, DO THIS!

On another note, I was rushed to the vet, today. My beautiful face was all swollen up! I'm not sure what happened, but Channy was giving me a trim (it's gotten rather hot up here!) when she noticed three red bumps on my right eyelid. I started scratching, and suddenly the whole left side of my face swole up, and my eyes were nearly swollen shut! Oh, and the ITCHING! It was horrible! Channy put me in her backpack and rode me on her bike to the vet. They gave me some really pretty pink pills and some lotion for my eyes. I'm feeling so much better now.

But, what a problem this is! I can't seem to figure out what would have given me such a horrible allergic reaction?

I was thinking of voting in the Canadian Provincial elections today, but I don't think I will now. When I listened to the different parties' different platforms, I was totally turned off! There was no mention of more funding for doggy daycares, no stimulus plans for more dog biscuits, no plan to help the homeless dogs, no mention of a plan to cut down on the recent vicious cat-on-dog attacks . . . dispicable! What kind of country do I live in?!

You can count me out for voting today! Raaawrr . . .

Hair cut

It is very appropriate, since it is getting rather warm down here.

I hope Sweepy doesn't mind. He seems to prefur me long furred.

But, honestly, Papa cut me too short.

Yes, I didn't go to the groomers, my papa cut me.

(He gave me some bald spots and nicked me a little too! NO TIP FOR YOU, PAPA!)

He was supposed to leave my head long and my face short, but he left my face long and my head short. OH DEAR!

Oh well, Channy is a bit better at the whole grooming thing than he is. She'll fix it.

Sweepy told me that he got me something . . . he put it on his blog, and, I must appologize, I peeked. It's the most wonderful necklace! I am so happy! It is tres jolie! He is going to ask Sparky if he can mail it to him and forward it to me, as Channy would get in trouble if I started receiving parcels from doggies she didn't know.

Oh, my, Sweepy took me on a date this Easter! We pawticipated in the Easter egg hunt, and took a promenade in the museum! The Philipeans is so beautiful! I feel as if I had to leave too soon. :(

Something kinda good happened at the dog park yesterday. It was only me and my neighbor Marcel, and we were actually playing! I was being BRAVE! But then he stopped running and started sniffing the ground, so I ran into him to get him going again, and he turned around and bit me in the bum! I was so scared, I stayed by Channy for the rest of the day. :(

Well, Channy is going to take me to the park soon, so I'd better go get ready.

Today, when practicing my ballet, as I do nearly every day, I heard a funny noise. Of course, having to concentrate on my routine, I ignored it. Then, I heard three beeps. "Oh no!" I thought. "I know what that sound is!!!" I tried to get away, but it was too late. By the time I looked at the source of the noise, the picture had already been taken. Chanelle used Skype to take a picture of me dancing!!!

How embarassing!!! I really wish she'd stop doing that . . .

Movie Update

Hey, every doggy!

This has to be quick, Chanelle is in the process of cooking my VERY LATE breakfast right now . . . Momma was sick and couldn't make it, and Chanelle and Papa had to go out. :(

Chanelle thought my idea for my movie title was stoopid. She told me, instead of Short Bark-uit it should be Short Biscuit . . . actually, I agree. My title was silly. bol

I think I've found my Newton, though. I'm considering Sparkey for that part, and maybe Tanner can be Ben . . . he seems to fit the part. bol Hm . . . does anyone want any of the other roles??

Chanelle found some more pictures of me, only these ones are much more unflatering than the others . . . It was fall, so I was just growing back from my short poodle cut (which I'm getting again soon, by the way), and she decided that she would use me for an UNNECCESSARY model for a science project . . .

That, ony my head, is a trophic pyramid. I do not know what a trophic pyramid is, but there's a picture of a doggy on the top, so, it's good in my books! Just . . . don't put it on my head . . .

And then, she took the whole thing a step further . . .

Are you kidding me!? Sunglasses?!?! Ugh! But, being a good little girl, I wore them without knocking them off, which I really, really, wanted to do . . . At least I got lots of praise for being so good . . .

Coming Soon to Theaters Near You: Short Bark-uit!!!

After watching Petey's lovely movie, Beagadoon, I was inspired to write a movie. But, I'm not that good at writing, so I think I'll just star in the movie. Chanelle volunteered to write the script for me. She loves writing.

Anyways, my movie will be called Short Bark-uit. It will be the story of a robot fighter doggy who got a short circuit while getting his batteries recharged. As a result, he (SAIAT, or "Strategic Artificially Intelligent Anti-Squirrel Transport", Number 5) becomes a sentient being!!! I already have my "star" (he's not really the star, you know. just the title character of sorts . . .). Chanelle's Poochi Sparkles will play Number 5 (as well as Number 1, Number 2, Number 3, and Number 4).

He's a little worse for wear, as you can see. He's missing an ear, and the one he does have is tapped on . . . but, he's the only robot dog I know, so he'll just have to do! I need a couple of scientists for the lab, a Newton Graham Crosby, Ph.D, a Ben Jabituya, a Captain Skroeder, a Howard Marner, and a Frank. Of course, I'll need some extras as well . . .

Honest Scrap

Wow! This morning, when checking my blog comments, I saw that Dinah had given me an award! I was all like, "OMDog, how cool!" My first award! I rushed over to her blog to pick it up . . . and realized it was the honest scrap award. I was like, "okay . . . honest? um . . . okay . . ." and then I read it an got it. bol Niiiiiice. :P

Not quite sure what "Honest Scrap" means . . . should I be flattered by my blog being called "scrap"? bol"When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows who he or she is. True Colours Thursday

Even though I'm not a member of DWB yet, I think I'll play True Colours Thursday!

Today's color will be black! (And all these pictures are being taking with the laptop and the Skype video snapshot tool! I hope Channy doesn't drop the laptop!)

This lamp is black.

Papa's guitar case is black.

Chanelle's keyboard is black.

Chanelle's Mr. Pink has black eyes and a black nose.

Chanelle has black hair, a black shirt, and her eyes look black here! (And she's weird!!!)

The barbeque cover is black.

And, last but definitely not least, I'M BLACK!!! (bol, Channy says she's "black" too.)

OH. MA. DAWG. I'm never sitting next to the fireplace again! D8

There's this grate at the bottom of the fireplace, and it doesn't screw in. You kinda have to pop the top in this groove and then slide the bottom on this block, so it's really easy to kick down, which I totally just did.

I was sleeping by the fireplace, all warm and cozy, when I stretched out and BOOM!!! I rocketed out of the living room like someone set my tail on fire. Chanelle said all she saw was a black flash . . . I'm surprised I didn't pee myself! She was laughing so hard, she nearly dropped the laptop!!

Chanelle called me back into the living room, but I gave the fireplace a wiiiide berth. She says I'll get over it, though. It's not like I've never done that before. bol

A Rainy Stoopid Tuesday (part 2)

Aah, it stopped raining! Hooray! I got to go to the dog park! Of course, I started balking as soon as I realized with direction we were going in, but once we got in, I was okay. Sorta.

There were only three dogs when I came, a greyhound (I think), a little black pomeranian, and a German shepherd. The greyhound liked me, and after awhile, I kinda got used to her, but then they left.

Then Sasha and Abbey came!! Ashes didn't though. I was kinda happy to see familiar faces. Their mom came over to Chanelle to talk. I like her, so I stood next to her. A dog named Chevy came, and was messing with Abbey and Sasha, and they really told him off! Then Sirius and Nimbus came, two Belgian shepherds, as well as a boxer girl, a bulldog, a rottie, and a sweet little German/Belgian shepherd girl named Cleo. She was quiet, so I liked her at first, but then she decided to "play", and she slapped me right across the face! :(

I don't think many of the dogs at the park like me. They probably think I'm too shy. Except for Buttons. He came later. He's pretty clueless, in my opinion, and didn't get that I didn't want to play, and started chasing me all over the place!

It was a stressful day, but Chanelle says I took it like a trouper. Hopefully, tomorrow, it stays raining!!!

Wear Pink!

Anyways, Chanelle and I wore pink on February 25th! It was fun! Here are some pictures (taken with Papa's camera):

Chanelle was wearing pink lip gloss, and I slurped it all off right before the picture!!! (It really doesn't look like it, because her lips are naturally a rosey colour . . .)

A Rainy Stoopid Tuesday

It's a rainy day today. The dog park is probably all muddy . . . and I doubt I'll get a walk. I don't mind the rain, but I never stay under the umbrella, so I always get all stinky! Chanelle doesn't really appreciate that much . . . *sigh* I'll just take a nap then, I guess.

I went to the dog park today, and I was sooo good! Usually, my tail stays down for a long time, but I was braver today! I saw these three girl doggies that I saw before. Their names are Ashes, Sasha, and Abbey. There were also tonnes of other dogs! Willy was there, but he had to go home. A dog named Sam was there, but he left too. Then there was this brindle boxer girl, but I don't know her name. She left too, though. Then a pitt bull named Princess came, and two doggies from my building (one named Marcel), and a puppy named Buddy.

I was really having fun hanging out with Ashes and Abbey, sniffing out some good smells, until Abbey smelled something she hadn't smelled before and started baying . . . it really scared me! Then something awkard happened to Abbey and Marcel . . . for the reason that I'm joinging DWB and my blog needs to be COMPLETELY kid friendly, this has to be SUPER obscure . . . but, just look at the tags and you'll get it. :P
